When a client faces sentencing on a case tied to drugs or alcohol, what they do between arrest and the hearing matters. Judges and prosecutors want to see real change, not a last-minute promise. NMG Recovery Consulting works with criminal defense attorneys and mitigation specialists to help clients build a genuine, documented record of recovery.

How We Support the Defense Team

We don’t replace a mitigation specialist or the defense team. We give them something concrete to work with. We provide structured recovery coaching and accountability for the client, help getting into and completing treatment, a steady record of meeting attendance, testing, and progress, and a sober companion for court dates and high-risk periods when needed.

With the client’s written consent, we provide the attorney with clear documentation of the client’s participation. That record can support arguments for treatment-based alternatives, diversion, probation terms, or a reduced sentence.

Court-Day Support

Court dates are stressful, and stress is a common relapse trigger. We can be present with the client before and after hearings, help them arrive on time and prepared, and keep them steady through a long day. Our legal and trial support service covers trials, hearings, and depositions as well as sentencing.

After Sentencing

Recovery support doesn’t end at the hearing. Many clients have probation terms, court-ordered programs, or testing requirements. We help them stay compliant and keep building the stability that keeps them out of the system for good.

Working With Treatment Centers

Treatment centers and detox programs refer clients to us for aftercare and discharge support because we pick up where they leave off. We keep the treatment team informed as the client allows and help carry out the recommendations they made. If you’re a clinician or admissions professional looking for a reliable aftercare partner, we’d welcome a conversation.
