Licensed professionals carry a different kind of pressure in recovery. A physician, nurse, pilot, pharmacist, or attorney has a license, a career, and often a monitoring program to answer to. NMG Recovery Consulting provides confidential recovery coaching and consistent, documented accountability that helps professionals protect both their health and their careers.

Who We Support

We work with physicians and surgeons, nurses and nurse practitioners, pharmacists, dentists, and other healthcare workers. We also support airline pilots, attorneys, and other professionals whose licenses depend on demonstrating sustained recovery.

Many of these clients are enrolled in, or heading into, a formal monitoring program. That might be a state physician health program (PHP), the FAA’s HIMS program for pilots, a nurse alternative-to-discipline or diversion program, or a state bar lawyer assistance program. We don’t replace those programs. We help clients succeed in them.

How We Help

Monitoring programs set the requirements. Meeting them week after week while working a demanding job is where people struggle. We provide regular recovery coaching and accountability sessions, help staying on schedule with testing, meetings, and program check-ins, and support during stressful stretches like a return to work, a board review, or a license hearing. For pilots and physicians who travel, a travel companion can provide in-person support on the road.

With the client’s written consent, we can provide documentation of their participation and progress to a program, an employer, or an attorney. Our legal and trial support services are available when a license matter goes before a board.

Discretion Comes First

Professionals worry about being seen. We understand that. Sessions can take place by phone, video, or in private settings, and every engagement is governed by a written agreement that covers confidentiality and exactly who, if anyone, receives information.
